What we buy: Pokémon binders, bulk, vintage, slabs, and Riftbound

If it is a Pokémon card, we are interested, from a 1999 Base Set holo to this year's illustration rares. We also buy Riftbound. Here is what that covers and what helps us make a quick, fair offer.

Binders and whole collections

Most of what people sell is a binder or a box that has not been opened in years. Bring it as it is. You do not need to sort it, look anything up, or pull out the good cards first.

We go through every page with you and point out the cards that carry the value, so you know what you are selling before you decide.

  • Childhood binders
  • Shoeboxes and storage bins
  • Mixed eras and languages
  • Trade binders

Vintage cards (1999 to 2003)

Wizards of the Coast printed the English Pokémon cards from 1999 to 2003, from Base Set through the e-Card series. These are the cards most people mean when they say "old Pokémon cards."

We look for 1st Edition stamps, Shadowless Base Set cards, and holos, but we buy the whole run, commons included. Played and creased vintage cards still carry real value, so do not throw them out.

  • Base Set, Jungle, Fossil
  • Team Rocket and Gym
  • Neo series
  • e-Card series
  • 1st Edition and Shadowless

Modern hits

The chase cards from recent sets: illustration rares and special illustration rares, full arts, alternate arts, gold cards, and the ex cards people pull from booster packs today.

Modern prices move quickly, so we price these from recent sales of the exact card, not from a list we printed months ago.

  • Special illustration rares
  • Illustration rares
  • Full arts and alt arts
  • ex, V, VMAX, and VSTAR cards
  • Trainer Gallery and gold cards

Bulk

Commons, uncommons, and reverse holos add up. If you have boxes or bins of them, we buy them as a lot so you are not counting cards one at a time.

Mixed bulk is fine. If there are rares or holos hiding in it, we will pull them out and offer on them separately.

  • Commons and uncommons
  • Reverse holos
  • Non-holo rares

How bulk is valued

Bulk is usually counted by the thousand, and not all bulk is equal. Reverse holos, holos, and non-holo rares are worth more than plain commons, so a box that is already roughly sorted gets a better offer than a mixed bin. You do not have to sort it, though. Tell us roughly how many cards you have and send a photo of the boxes, and we will take it from there.

Japanese cards

Japanese Pokémon cards have their own sets, promos, and rarities, and some are worth more than their English versions. We buy them as singles or as part of a collection.

Modern Japanese cards print a rarity code near the bottom (such as AR, SR, or SAR), which helps us identify them quickly from photos.

  • Modern Japanese sets
  • Japanese promos
  • Vintage Japanese cards

Graded slabs

We buy Pokémon cards graded by PSA, CGC, Beckett (BGS), and TAG. Send a clear photo of the front of each slab with the label and certification number readable.

The cert number lets us look the card up on the grading company's own site, which is the fastest way to a firm offer.

  • PSA
  • CGC
  • Beckett (BGS)
  • TAG

Sealed product

We buy sealed Pokémon and Riftbound product: booster boxes and displays, Elite Trainer Boxes, bundles, tins, and loose packs.

Send a photo of each item with the wrapping and seals easy to see, plus how many of each you have.

  • Booster boxes and displays
  • Elite Trainer Boxes
  • Bundles and tins
  • Loose packs

Riftbound

We play Riftbound, the League of Legends trading card game from Riot Games, and we buy it: singles, foils, showcase cards, full collections, bulk, and sealed product.

It is a young game, so prices still move week to week. We price from recent sales of the exact card and version.

  • Singles and playsets
  • Foils
  • Showcase cards
  • Full collections

More about selling riftbound

Selling an entire collection?

Yes, we buy whole collections: binders, boxes, bins, and slabs together, in one offer. You do not need to sort anything. Send a few photos of what you have, and for bigger collections we can come to you so you are not carrying boxes across town.

Your offer names the cards that carry the value and prices the rest as one counted lot, so you can take all of it or just part. How offers work

What we do not buy

We focus on Pokémon and Riftbound, so we are not the right buyer for sports cards, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, or other games. We also do not buy fake, proxy, or altered cards.
